Are there interesting places to go in Buffalo? There are many fun and entertaining places to go in the city of Buffalo NY and beyond. We could start with the beautiful waterfront or the exciting nightlife. How about the fabulous restaurants and shops throughout Hertel Avenue and the Elmwood Village? Among many exciting places is the Theatre District. At the north end of the theatre district stands Shea’s Theatre, a breath taking arena of entertainment. Definitely DO NOT miss this one! I could go on and on and I will throughout the website, but not here. There’s simply not enough room. This is something I can say without a doubt, If places to go is on the list, Buffalo has you covered. Buffalo is centrally located to just about everything!
The greater Buffalo area offers visitors an extremely wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities. I’ll name a few to get your curiosity going. In the winter there are ice skating rinks, cross country and downhill skiing, indoor tennis and driving ranges and indoor go-carting. I’ll stop here but there’s more. In the summer there are many golf courses, hiking trails, walking and cycling paths. Buffalo has fantastic beaches and a park system called Olmsted that is quite remarkable. There is more but I’ll let you discover them.
One of the nearby by parks is home to one of the oldest national forests in the country. It is located in a suburb of Buffalo called Cheektowaga. Buffalo has the oldest canal system called the Erie Canal system. There are concerts and events running all along the Erie Canal system in the summertime. And you’ll probably see me there. In early American history, the Erie Canal helped make Buffalo the gateway to the United States.
