Traffic Court Buffalo NY Plea Bargain, Tonawanda, Amherst, Cheektowaga, West Seneca

Traffic Violations Are Expensive

Getting pulled over for anything is a humbling experience. There's nothing one can do except pull over, find out what happened and hopefully get away with a warning. Many times this simply isn't the case. Getting pulled over for DWI these days is very expensive and the effects of conviction linger on for years. For those getting a moving violation, many have to use a whole days pay just to pay the fine. Even a parking ticket now a days cost the price of dinner for two. In any case, pleading not guilty to a moving violation is the better option. Pleading not guilty can save one from getting points on their license. Points on a drivers license can cause the auto insurance company to raise the amount of the monthly insurance payment. Accumulating too many points is definately not good. It isn't very hard to do these days. Getting caught for texting carries a 5 point mark. The case may be, that the phone was in hand but was not being used. This is still a 5 point mark. **Getting too many points on a license can cause the license to be suspended. This means the person is no longer able to drive a motor vehicle legally. Driving in New York State is a privilege and not a right. As a side note, the City of Buffalo benefits from reducing moving violations to parking fines. This is because parking fine money stays in the city and does not go to the state. An example of this would be plea bargaining a speeding ticket down to a parking ticket or two.
