Buffalo City Court NY handles small claims cases for those with claims up to $3000. Additionally, it holds preliminary hearings for criminal matters. This court also handles housing related issues involving evictions and code violations.

Buffalo City Court is in what is called the 8th Judicial District. (Erie county)

The 8th district includes these counties: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming.

Buffalo Veterans Treatment Court
(Same building: Suite 250)
This court is available for cases involving veterans with drug and mental health issues. It is a departure from the traditional criminal justice system making this a specialized veterans court.
